Coding is more than just a language. It teaches kids how to think.
Schools, especially elementary and middle schools, are only able to provide a brief introduction to computer science. iCode helps to fill the gap with a broad computer science curriculum that equips kids with a wide set of foundational skills.
BETTER JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Today, 58% of all jobs in STEM are computing. There will be 1 million more computer science jobs available in 2024 then there are students to fill them. It is critical that we prepare our students for future workforce demands.
iCode offers k-8 scholarships for it’s core computer science program. This gives more students the opportinity to access vital STEM education.
The Annual Hackathon A Great Way to Engage Kids in STEM
iCode4kids was established to spread awareness of STEM education and assist children from underprivileged backgrounds in pursuing educational opportunities in computer science. Our annual hackathon is an impactful event that draws kids from all over the Dallas/FortWorth region. Participants are fully immersed in solution-oriented computer science, learning critical thinking skills through a project-based learning approach.
